Bring your own device (BYOD)
Students in Years 6-12 are expected to bring their own computing device to school every day.
The device must meet required specifications and run Windows 11 or newer, as NAPLAN (from 2027) does not support Windows 10. Mac devices are not recommended due to possible compatibility issues with the school network.
Minimum Hardware Requirements
- Windows 11
- 1TB storage
- 16GB RAM
- Wireless capability
- HDMI output
- At least six hours battery life
Students and families choose, own, and maintain the device.
The school supports Wi‑Fi, student accounts, and school software, but not personal software, hardware, or repairs.
Students must follow a user agreement and use the device responsibly. Internet use is filtered, and other networks (e.g. hotspots) are not allowed.
Insurance for loss or damage is recommended.
