The Rite Journey - Coming to Good Shepherd in 2024

Good Shepherd are proud to announce that we will be implementing a new program for our Year 9 students in 2024: The Rite Journey. The Rite Journey is a unique educational program created to help guide students on their journey from children to young adults.

The program is based on meaningful conversations where students feel safe and supported. They will be challenged emotionally and physically, and will learn about how to embody the following traits:

  • confidence;
  • courage;
  • commitment;
  • considerate;
  • courteous; and
  • compassion.

At the beginning of Term 4 we had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew Lines, one of the founders of The Rite Journey, to our Howard Springs campus to facilitate a staff PD session around the program. It was a very hands-on session in which our staff essentially participated in the program as our students will in order to gain the best possible understanding of student learning experience.
