Pilots, Doctors and Firefighters in the Making

As part of their Unit of Inquiry 'How We Organise Ourselves', our Transition students have been learning about services within our community and human-made systems.

Students from both our Leanyer and Palmerston campuses visited the Airport Rescue Fire Fighting Service and the Care Flight hangar at Darwin Airport last week to learn about the roles of these important services. They had a fantastic time and enjoyed lots of hands-on experiences, such as spraying the fire hoses and sitting in the driver’s seat of the Aviation Fire Rescue truck!

It looks like we have some future pilots, nurses, doctors, engineers and firefighters in the making!
