Meet Me in a German Cafe!

Year 6 German Language Acquisition students delivered their 'speaking' assessment on the topic 'Café or Tea' on Tuesday 18 April.

The key concept of this unit is communication, and where else, if not in a café, you learn to communicate with people. Within the context of self-introduction and a simple conversation, students talked about themselves and presented a role-play of a café chat in German. Well done everyone!

* The languages offered within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) at Good Shepherd are German, French and Japanese. The study of these additional languages provides learners with the opportunity to develop insights into the features, processes and craft of language and the idea of culture. This process of learning and acquiring an additional language helps learners understand that there are diverse ways of living, behaving and viewing the world.
