College Cleans Up at Duke of Edinburgh Awards

On Wednesday 15 November two current College students and one 2022 College graduate attended Parliament House for the presentation of the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Year 12 student Mikayla and sister, 2022 alumni Kaitlyn, were presented with Silver Awards by the Honourable Mark Monaghan MLA.

Ethan, Year 11, was one of only three students to receive the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award – the result of a four-year progression through the program. He was presented the award by NT Chief Administrator, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM.

Ethan was also asked to deliver the Gold Awardee Address at the event, sharing his experiences through the Duke of Edinburgh program and the positive impacts it has had on his personal development.
