Book Week Wrap Up

What a busy busy Book Week it’s been!

Our Leanyer students and teachers paraded around at their whole-school assembly on Thursday 24 August, showing off their incredible costumes to the cheering crowd. Family and friends were then invited to join their children in the library to check out the Book Fair and snag some best sellers. All students and staff did a fantastic job on their costumes and put on a truly fabulous event.

Our Palmerston students and teachers gathered in the Hall to strut their stuff on stage, competing for the coveted 'best costume' prize. This was followed by their Grandparents and Special Friends Day, where students spent time with their loved ones enjoying activities such as a school tour, tree planting and morning tea. The morning was a huge success - we love welcoming our families to our campuses and we are very grateful for their support.

And finally, our Howard Springs Campus! Both the Junior and Middle/Senior Schools had their fabulous parades on Friday 25 August.

After their parade, our Junior School hosted their 'Books on Blankets' morning tea, where family and friends were invited to bring a picnic rug and some nibbles, find a spot on the school grounds and read books with their children.

Our Middle/Senior students showed off their costumes on the basketball courts during lunch, where special guest Gerard Maley assisted with the 'best costume' judging and awarded the prize he generously donated. We thank Gerard for his continued support of our great school.

And that's a wrap for Book Week 2023! Massive thanks go to our library staff for the effort they put in to making Book Week as special as it was.
