Good Shepherd 'Step Up' Program Awarded Ventia Community Grant

On Wednesday 20 September Mrs Trahair and Mr Mustin attended Ventia’s most recent Industry Engagement Event where the College was presented with a $2000 Community Grant to go towards our Year 9 ‘Step Up to Senior School’ program!

The goal of the program is to ensure that our Year 9 students are supported as they graduate from Middle School and transition into the Senior School cohort. It includes weekly sessions explaining the expectations and responsibilities of Senior School students, exploring study skills and learning habits, and providing an introduction to careers and career pathways. The students also set goals for 2024 and undergo teambuilding activities, enabling them to identify their strengths to assist in subject/program selection at the Senior School level.

We cannot thank Ventia enough for their support of our Year 9 students as they navigate this important stage of their schooling journey!
