Robotics and 3D Printing at Good Shepherd...

Year 11 and 12 Communication Products students have assembled 10 new 3D printers as part of their "skills" development for the subject requirements. Year 12 students will use these 3D printers for the assessments of producing a concept model of a moon base. Year 11 students will design and manufacture a concept model of a moon rover. Year 8 Engineering and Robotics students are starting to build their first robots which will eventually follow a line, avoid obstacles and react to infrared light - just like a real self driving car. Lunchtimes also see the Robotics and 3D design and 3D Print area of the Library used by students to design all sorts of items. One of the images shows a fishing lure a Year 7 student has designed - how amazing is that!
