Laila Olm Awarded 'Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme'
A huge congratulations to Year 12 student, Laila Olm who has been awarded the Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme. This is a national scheme and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and administered by the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). It provides financial assistance to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are intending to enrol or are enrolled in an entry-level or graduate entry-level qualification (Certificate IV and above) in an eligible health-related discipline at an Australian educational institution.
Laila will be studying a Diploma of Nursing with FOX Education and Consultancy in the Northern Territory. She then hopes to enrol in a Bachelor of Nursing with the possibility of studying Medicine.
Through winning the scholarship, Laila hopes to become a continuous ambassador and role model for the Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship to future recipients and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. We are all very proud of you Laila, congratulations and all the very best for your Diploma of Nursing and wonderful goals.
